Thank you so very much for sharing your feelings about happiness. How beautiful, “Being loved and loving. It’s haven on earth.” That is what it is all about. I have been spending the last few days with my grandson while his parents are away. Just watching television together and not worrying about anything is so very peaceful.

For years I associated happiness with financial success…

I grew up in a mid-size industrial town. Everyone I knew worked in a factory, and… I just hated and feared my prospects – I did NOT want to end up working in a factory…

So… I became obsessed with success; and while by 24 I became the general manager of a Chinese-Hungarian joint venture, export import company, and by 27 I was earning multiple 6-figure income… one day I woke up feeling empty. I realized that “yesterday” I was only 21, and now suddenly I’m 27 – and all I did during those years was work, work, work… And while I dearly enjoyed what I was doing, it still robbed years off my life. So I slowed down…

I’ve been married for 15 years and have 3 wonderful kids (15, 13, and 3), and I’ve been happy every day of my life ever since I fell in love and especially after the birth of my first child. Thinking about my kids keep a smile on my face, even when I’m traveling on my own for business…

That’s happiness for me: being loved and loving. It’s like haven on earth

I feel that people get so wrapped up in the busyness of their life to fully appreciate the awesomeness of their life. If they give them some time to step back and download their life, they will have time to love their life. Taking time to yourself is so important.
